Do you like free magazines? http://www.faramelli.com/2007/03/17/do-you-like-free-magazines/ http://www.faramelli.com/2007/03/17/do-you-like-free-magazines/#comments Sat, 17 Mar 2007 17:06:59 +0000 webmaster http://www.faramelli.com/2007/03/17/do-you-like-free-magazines/ I am continuing to show you some of my favourite sites as I do not have much to announce this moment from my own life. Normally, I am not that much a fan of free magazines you get at subway stations, in shopping centres or somewhere else. For me, those are not only too full of ads, but I also have my doubts about the objectiveness of the texts and especially the reviews that are published in them.

The magazine, or rather the 4 ones that I want to present to you seem to be a bit different in this. Their sponsors are clearly announced on the frontage and they do not really appear in the magazine itself.  What I like most about them is the content. It is really up to date and you get a lot of information by young and dynamic authors. Oh, did I forget to mention that they are actually 4 online mags? Check them out!

In case you might ask yourself why I am telling you about this page, it is just for fun, I am not getting paid for anything and I will probably never be, snif.

Revolution? http://www.faramelli.com/2007/03/08/revolution/ http://www.faramelli.com/2007/03/08/revolution/#comments Thu, 08 Mar 2007 15:43:05 +0000 webmaster http://www.faramelli.com/2007/03/08/revolution/ I am still alive in case if you worried. I am just a bit stressed right now, so I can’t update my site very often. Today I want to present you a relatively new Luxembourgish site. It is about web developing and it is named revo.lu. If you are interested in web design you should check out the site an sign up. People are very friendly and will be glad to help you out if you encounter any problems at your projects.

For my site, I am still staying with this “standard” design as I like it a lot. It gives such a nice web 2.0 feeling, doesn’t it?

Exams finished http://www.faramelli.com/2007/02/01/exams-finished/ http://www.faramelli.com/2007/02/01/exams-finished/#comments Thu, 01 Feb 2007 10:23:11 +0000 webmaster http://www.faramelli.com/2007/02/01/exams-finished/ Now that my exams are finally finished, I can focus a bit more on this website and athletics again. I still don’t know if I will upload my training logs, because I would have to transform them in an acceptable webstandard. What is new on the site, are my personal best performances that you can find by clicking on “athletics”. I thought it might be useful to put them online, so I will always know where to look for if I need a small moment of motivation.

I am looking forward to a month with a lot of training and some big weekends. Especially the next two weeks I will be having a 4-day-weekend mixed with a 3-day-9-hours-of-school week.

Just a question http://www.faramelli.com/2007/01/23/just-a-question/ http://www.faramelli.com/2007/01/23/just-a-question/#comments Tue, 23 Jan 2007 08:40:08 +0000 webmaster http://www.faramelli.com/2007/01/23/just-a-question/ I have been logging my training sessions for the last few months. Would anyone may be interested in seeing them here? They are quite detailed and I would have to quote out some nasty things I said about people, but nevertheless it might be cool to put them online. What do you think about it?

Small Friends… http://www.faramelli.com/2006/11/26/small-friends/ http://www.faramelli.com/2006/11/26/small-friends/#comments Sun, 26 Nov 2006 08:16:49 +0000 webmaster http://www.faramelli.com/2006/11/26/small-friends/ I am trying to introduce a new category named Biology in which I am going to resume some interesting facts we learned at the university. So I hope that I am not writing any non-sense or so. If it happens, please don’t beat me.

Our teacher in Immunology, who has developed his own website at http://www.immuno.info, told us the number of microorganisms on and in our body. Now, what would you answer if I asked you how many of these little things like bacteria and all the rest are on our body?

The answer is 10^12 microorganisms are living on our bodies’ surface! But this is nothing compared to the number living inside of us: 10^14. How many cells have you got as an own organism? 10^13. The good thing: The vast majority of the bacteria living inside of us are good ones, which we need for our own metabolism or which are entering in competition with the bad ones to take away any space where they could develop.

New design. http://www.faramelli.com/2006/11/25/new-design/ http://www.faramelli.com/2006/11/25/new-design/#comments Sat, 25 Nov 2006 19:41:09 +0000 webmaster http://www.faramelli.com/2006/11/25/new-design/ Welcome to the new design of my blog. I hope you like it. Everything else stays the same. So no updates for weeks and no content at all will very likely be the main way I will be working on my site.

If you want to tell me something, just drop me a comment. That would be soooo awful!

Second exams! http://www.faramelli.com/2006/06/26/second-exams/ http://www.faramelli.com/2006/06/26/second-exams/#comments Mon, 26 Jun 2006 17:01:30 +0000 webmaster http://www.faramelli.com/2006/06/26/second-exams/ This weekend I got my results from my second semester at Strasbourg. I passed it with nearly one point more than the first one. Now, I am looking forward to having a long holiday till the end of September. Unluckily, I haven’t been able to do any sports for the last 5 weeks. I am suffering of an inflammation of my right foot. So, maybe I am going to update this site heavily. I think that the design is a bit too serious and sad. I would like to something special, but that’s not easy at all. Please give me some time and hopefully you will see some results.

My photographs’ page at photos.faramelli.com is doing very fine. More and more people are uploading pictures from track and field events to it. I surely try to increase the amount of pictures, too, but without any help this would even be more difficult. If the uploads continue like this, I am looking forward to having the image number 10.000 on the internet by the end of the season. There are more meetings to come, so get out your camera and start to take photographs.

Planning for the future http://www.faramelli.com/2006/03/24/planning-for-the-future/ http://www.faramelli.com/2006/03/24/planning-for-the-future/#comments Fri, 24 Mar 2006 17:00:36 +0000 webmaster http://www.faramelli.com/2006/03/24/planning-for-the-future/ This week, I received my French running license and I am looking forward to doing my first race for my new club. While the FLA will be staying in the South of France for a training camp during the spring holidays, the sprinters of the C.A. Fola, including me, are going to stay at Lloret del Mar for a whole week. Pretty cool, he?
